Bright, Bold, and Beautiful
Sometimes it's best to go bold with your color choices. Wouldn't you agree? Cait from Little City Farmhouse gave this dresser a bright, bold, and beautiful new look with Bliss and Antiquing Wax!
It's been quite a while since I painted with this colour! This is definitely a favourite in the Country Chic Paint line - it's bright and bold and has such a great tone.

I refinished this piece for a client who had requested this specific colour, Bliss. This is a French Provincial piece, which I absolutely love refinishing - especially in bold colours! This style of furniture looks great in any colour, but they handle bold colours really well!

I started by prepping the dresser. This piece had a white factory finish previously, so it was important to take the gloss down. After scrubbing the dresser clean, I sanded it with my orbital sander and by hand in some areas to make sure there was good tooth for the paint to grip onto. I then gave the dresser two coats of Bliss.

I didn't want to distress this piece and show any remaining white underneath, so I used Antiquing Wax to give it some depth and age. Bliss and Antiquing Wax look so, so good together! I gave it an initial coat of wax with a rag and then came back several hours later with a brush and added some additional depth with the Antiquing Wax.

I love a dresser with a bold beautiful colour, and this one is no exception!

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
