Happy Hour Chair
Cait from Little City Farmhouse gave this sweet little occassional chair a coat of Happy Hour and Clear Wax!Confession: I have a slight obsession with occasional chairs. I love them! I love painting them with pops of colour and pairing them with a great fabric. They're just a great piece to add interest to your decor. I loved the shape of this chair and knew that I wanted to do it in one of my favourite colours - Happy Hour.
I am so thrilled that Happy Hour has become part of the standard colour line for Country Chic Paint. It's such a gorgeous sea glass blue/green, and really is a happy colour! This chair is mahogany and I knew I was going to have issues with bleed through. After multiple coats of shellac primer, I sprayed on two coats of Happy Hour. Unfortunately with bleed through, the only way to know if it's fully sealed in is to give it a coat of paint. After the first coat of paint I had to deal with a few more spots before my final coat of paint.
I chose not to distress this chair because I didn't want the red undertones of the wood showing. I wanted a little extra depth to the paint though, so I added a light coat of wax before I reupholstered the seat of the chair.
Isn't it charming? I adore this colour!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}
Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
