The Driftwood Table
This crisp, clean dining set was painted by Cait from Little City Farmhouse with a little help from Simplicity!Refinishing dining room sets is no small task, but the results are amazing! A client of mine inherited this dining room suite from her family many years ago and was ready for a new look. Family tables often have sentimental value but their dated and worn finish doesn't exactly go with the rest of their decor. That can all be changed with paint!

- Clean and prep! This is absolutely essential for a durable lasting finish. The table was washed and sanded to give it some good tooth for the paint to grip to.
- Prime/Seal. Oak can definitely cause headaches with bleed-through so I gave the base of the table and chair tops and bottoms several coats of Shellac to seal it.
- Time for the fun part! I used Simplicity in the All-in-One formula. This is a crisp clean pure white and was perfect for the table. The All-in-One formula is definitely my go-to for adhesion and durability.
- Clear Coat. This is an absolute must with a piece that is so heavily used. The entire table got 4 coats of satin poly, with an extra coat on the table top.

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}
Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
