The Perfect White for a Vintage School Desk

It's really no secret that Vanilla Frosting is by far my favourite colour! It is the perfect white - not too white and not too cream - just perfectly in the middle!
A friend of mine asked me to paint this vintage school desk for her daughter's room as a place to do homework and also to play with. She chose to have the whole thing painted in Vanilla Frosting and I think it's just the sweetest little piece now!
I started by prepping well. This piece had a lot of marker and ink from years of use. I scrubbed well to remove the spots and then sanded the top and seat, which are wooden. The rest of the desk is metal so I gave the entire piece a coat of Country Chic Paint's Clear Bonding Primer to help with adhesion. This primer is amazing! It preps any surface for paint, and because it is clear you are free to distress your piece without having white primer show through!
When the primer was dry I sprayed two coats of Vanilla Frosting All-in-One Decor Paint. I chose this formula for two specific reasons: the adhesion is second to none, and it also has a built in topcoat which is extra assurance of durability for a piece like this! I distressed the entire piece and then sprayed on two coats of water based poly in a satin finish as further protection.
This is such a sweet little piece for a little one's space! The colour keeps its vintage feel but gives it a whole new look!
