Vintage Desk Makeover
Cait from Little City Farmhouse created this amazing yellow finish by mixing Bee's Knees with Fresh Mustard! She sealed her work with Limestone Glaze and Antiquing Wax. Read on to find out her color recipe.
Don't you just love when your friends and family help you score an awesome deal on furniture? That's what happened for Cait when her brother-in-law delivered this desk to her!

After filling in some of the scratches and chips from years of love, she decided it needed an old-world makeover in yellow.
To mix up the perfect hue, she combined about 2 parts Fresh Mustard with 1 part Bee's Knees.

She applied a coat of Limestone Glaze to help tone down the yellow a bit further and make the lovely details pop.

Finally, she applied a bit of Antiquing Wax to add a little bit more depth and that old-world, vintage feel she was going for.

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}
Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
