When painting a very slick or smooth surface (e.g., laminate furniture, glass, metal) you may need some extra help with adhesion to ensure the paint will stick and stay put for years to come.
Our Clear Bonding Primer takes the stress out of painting those tricky surfaces. It is ultra low VOC and contains no harmful solvents, making it safer than many other primers. And because this primer is clear, you can still see the natural wood color underneath which is perfect if you’re going for a whitewashed or distressed look!

Super easy to apply with the sponge, and a little bit goes a long way. I used it for my bathroom cabinets, and it made the paint adhere much better.

I’ve used this binder twice and loved it so much I ordered more. I only needed one coat both times and it goes a long way! I ordered the sample size and even after using it on 2 pieces of furniture I still have about 1/3 of the jar left. I see it on super shiny smooth surfaces and the adhered perfectly. Love it!!

The chalk paint was applied with the sponge I purchased, my first time using a sponge on furniture. It was so easy to apply with the sponge and no paint lines were visible on the finished piece. I’m more likely to use BIN primer than this for the price. I used it and it is basic. Hardware stores have primers that work great and are way cheaper.

The primer was so simple to apply. I used it on a small cabinet we put our keurig on that the top was destroyed from. I cleaned it up and applied the primer so we wouldn’t have the same issues moving forward. I painted it with the pebble beach and applied the graphite glaze. Looks fabulous! I’m glad all of my hard work won’t get to waste now that it primer safe!

I used this on a dresser project the dresser was in really bad shape. It had water stains and cup ring stains. I used the primer and nothing seeped through... I did sand first as well. I really liked the product it went on smoothly and it was easy to clean brushes after.

I absolutely LOVE this primer. It works wonderfully. I paint on glass a lot and the bonding primer really works to get the paint to adhere. I will use this primer as my “go to” primer for all of my projects. I really love that it is clear as well. The fact that it is very low in VOC and doesn’t have a bad smell makes me super happy. I feel really good about how non-toxic their products are, In addition to how well they work!

I’ve struggled with primer choices when using darker paints on surfaces that need a bonding primer yet I want to distress. This solves all the problems and was a game changer for me!

I painted an old bookshelf with Old Mustard chalk paint. Unfortunately, I realized a bit late that I should have used a primer so I ordered some with an extra jar of paint . It did make a difference, I had used 4 coats on the majority of the shelf but only needed 2 or 3 with the primer. I might even try 2 coats of primer next time to save on the actual paint.

I used the Primer before applying the first coat of Licorice Chalk Paint with your round sponge. The application was the easiest coat I’ve ever done. Highly recommend these products for beginner and experienced painters.

I purchased this bonding primer to help me paint a super slick piece of furniture. When I did my test patch of paint alone, it scraped right off with my fingernail. After applying coat of this primer, my paint stuck perfectly. I couldn’t stretch it off! This primer made an unpaintable piece paintable. It brushed easily and leveled out leaving almost 0 brush strokes.
