Giving Back
We have chosen to donate a portion of our yearly proceeds to two charities (Food Banks Canada and Feeding America) that feed those in need in Canada and the USA. Clear Coat is so easy to use. I applied it using both the painting sponge and the country chic brush, leaving a smooth finish. I apply 2 coats for a durable finish with low sheen.
This top coat is one of the easiest top coats I’ve worked with so far! I was able to apply with ease using a sponge and the finish was amazing. Very impressed with this product.
It’s been only 3 weeks that I am using my coffee table and it has scratched when sliding a tray, a clay dish left a darker mark, so disappointing! I did wait 3 weeks after it dried to use it, I also used the sponges and applied fine grit sanding between coats. Now I’m going to have to figure out how to protect the paint and waterproof seal it with a different product, from a department store.
I would recommend practicing with the clear coat. I’m used to using wax for chalk paint project. That being said, when applied properly, it looks really nice and protects the furniture well!
This project was fun and turned out exactly as I had hoped! The Clear Coat was the perfect finishing touch, as it adds a buttery, durable finish. Completing my chair was a 6 step process: prepare chair, base coat mix of Hurricane and Licorice, Clear Coat, Crackle Medium, top paint coat of a mix of Cheesecake, Hollow Hill and a splash of Tropical Cocktail. Finally, two coats of the smooth Clear Coat. Each step was made simple by using Country Chic products. Even more importantly, I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, and these products have been safe for me to use. Thank you for developing these eco-friendly products.

Delivery was super fast! I did two coats on the blue for now as we are not sure about the two tone and might do the whole dresser blue. The clear coat really makes it durable and easy to clean. It also makes the colour pop!

Clear coat is easy to use and leaves a nice smooth finish when applied with a damp sponge. I especially love it over light colors. With dark colors I usually add a little bit of the paint color into the clear coat to give it a streak less finish.
This is the only brand I use! Great coverage, excellent protection. Water-based! Easy clean up!!
Super easy to use, I purchased the foam applicator and it worked amazingly well, also used with a brush with great results as well. I believe with experience I will use less product and continue to get fabulous results. First dining room table project.

It was really easy. Although I found that I could see brush marks in some areas. So I think I need to learn how to apply it more consistently and maybe change the type of brush I use. Maybe use a sponge. I will watch more videos as time goes by. I love redoing small pieces of furniture at the moment.
